1 Killed in Fairfield Crash Near Highway 12 and Beck Avenue
FAIRFIELD, CA (April 22, 2021) – At least one was killed after a car crash near Highway 12 and Beck Avenue in Fairfield.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the tragic accident on Thursday. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 5:30 p.m.
Four vehicles collided for an unknown reason near the intersection of Highway 12 and Beck Avenue in Fairfield. CHP described one of the cars involved as a Dodge pickup truck.
Several Injured in Multi-Vehicle Collision
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene. FOX 40 News wrote that they then extricated one trapped person from the wreckage.
Medical personnel confirmed that the rescued individual died as a result of the collision. They also attended to multiple patients who sustained unspecified injuries upon impact.
The name of the deceased and wounded parties remain unreleased. Meanwhile, officials forced the intersection of Highway 12 and Beck Avenue to close for a time following the wreck.
The cause of the fatal Fairfield crash is still under investigation.
