At Least 1 Hurt in Collision on 80 Freeway Saturday
Fairfield, CA (October 3, 2021) – On October 2, Saturday, a suspected hit-and-run crash occurred on the Interstate 80 Freeway in Fairfield.
The California Highway Patrol group reported two or more vehicles collided on the eastbound lanes of the freeway near Cordelia Road offramp.

Shortly after 2:40 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the location. First responders found a black sedan disabled on the right-hand shoulder of the interstate. Meanwhile, authorities believed the other drivers involved in the collision fled the scene.
Responding medical personnel rendered aid to all victims left at the crash site. After the evaluation, officials confirmed at least one person sustained injuries as a result of the wreck. The name of the injured party, and the extent of their trauma remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Detectives reportedly stayed at the location the whole after to investigate several factors surrounding the hit-and-run crash in Fairfield.
