Deadly Car Crash with Semi-Truck on I-15 Freeway
SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, Calif. (Oct. 14, 2021) — A fatal Barstow accident involving a semi-truck and car happened early Thursday morning on the Interstate 15 Freeway.
The two-vehicle crash happened about 5:11 a.m. on Oct. 14th, just west of the Clyde V. Kane Rest Area, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP reported a 24-year-old man was ejected from a 4-door 2022 Kia sedan after it collided with the semi-truck. A second person was reportedly looking for their brother following the collision. A total of three men were in the Kia at the time of the crash.
I-15 Freeway Lane Closure Due to Fatal Crash
Caltrans responded and closed down the No. 2 lane due to the collision, the CHP report said.
Police requested the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Office respond due to the fatality.
Investigators seek to determine the cause of the fatal Barstow truck accident as well as liability.
