Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 41 in Madera
MADERA, Calif. (Sept. 15, 2022) – A fatal Madera crash happened on Highway 41, just north of Avenue 15 Thursday morning between two or three motorists.
The 3-vehicle collision occurred about 8:16 a.m. on Sept. 15th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officers responded to the scene of the crash involving a BMW X5, a Toyota Corolla and a black or blue Dodge RAM pickup truck.
Authorities believe the driver in the Dodge pickup truck was attempting to pass or merge into traffic in the northbound lane. The vehicle reportedly struck the back of a Toyota Corolla and pushed it forward into oncoming traffic. The Toyota crashed head-on into an oncoming BMW.
Also, the driver from the Toyota suffered fatal injuries in the crash.
Additionally, the BMW driver suffered major injuries and was airlifted to a hospital.
Meanwhile, authorities closed down four traffic lanes due to the fatal crash.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the Madera Ranchos crash.
