Female Pedestrian Killed in South Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Feb. 7, 2022) — A fatal pedestrian accident at Avalon Boulevard and 105th Street happened Sunday night in the Green Meadows area of South Los Angeles.
A driver struck and killed a female pedestrian just before 11 p.m. on Feb. 6th at the South Los Angeles intersection, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The LAPD responded, along with paramedics to the scene where they located the injured woman and soon pronounced her dead at the scene, the LAPD said.
Investigators with the LAPD believe that speed may have been a factor in the deadly crash. The driver stopped and is cooperating with authorities and the investigation. Police impounded the involved vehicle, but there are no criminal charges filed because all of the involved people stopped after the collision.
Investigators continue to work on the case and will determine fault for the South Los Angeles pedestrian accident on Avalon Boulevard.
