Woman, 61, Struck and Killed on Pine Boulevard
PINE VALLEY, Calif. (April 15, 2024) — A 61-year-old woman died in a pedestrian accident Saturday morning on Pine Boulevard in Pine Valley, east of San Diego.
The deadly crash occurred at around 11 a.m. on April 13th, south of Rocky Pass, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A 36-year-old man who was driving a 2016 Ford F-550 pickup truck was reportedly traveling northbound on Pine Boulevard. Meanwhile, the 61-year-old woman was walking on the right shoulder of Pine Boulevard in the same direction, police said.
Investigators say the driver veered off the roadway onto the right shoulder and hit the woman. She sustained major injuries and died following the crash.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the pedestrian accident on Pine Boulevard, but they do not suspect alcohol and/or drugs were a factor in the crash.
Finally, the name of the woman who died will be released by the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
