Semi-Truck, Pickup Crash on Highway 74
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, Calif. (Sept. 30, 2021) — A fatal Perris crash at Mazie Avenue happened early Thursday morning between a semi-truck and a pickup truck in Riverside County.
UPDATE: John Camp, 51, of Perris, died in the crash at Mazie Ave and Highway 74, according to the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner.
The two-vehicle collision took place about 5:10 a.m. on Sept. 30th near Highway 74, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP reported a driver of the pickup truck crashed into a home at 21120 Mazie Avenue due to unknown circumstances. The vehicle subsequently caught on fire after the Perris crash on Mazie Avenue.
The CHP notified the coroner to respond John Camp succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
It’s unknown what led up to the collision, but investigators with the California Highway Patrol – Temecula seek to determine fault.
