Two-Vehicle Crash at Phelan Intersection Leaves One Dead
PHELAN, Calif. (Oct. 13, 2022) — A fatal Phelan crash involving two motorists happened Wednesday in the eastbound lanes of State Route 138 and Oil Well Road.
The Phelan crash involved a blue Dodge sedan and a silver KIA sedan about 12:49 p.m. on Oct. 12th, according to Victor Valley News Group.
One person died in the crash and a second person was critically injured in the Wednesday afternoon collision, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The San Bernardino County Fire Department responded and found one person dead and the other with major injuries.
Both of the two vehicles had major damage following the collision. A helicopter airlifted the injured person to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for further treatment.
Investigators with the California Highway Patrol are working to determine the cause of the crash.
