Teenage Pedestrian Killed In Quartz Hill
QUARTZ HILL, Calif. (Sept. 26, 2022) – A fatal Quartz Hill pedestrian accident happened Sunday night at 42nd Street West and West Avenue L.
The crash occurred about 10:20 p.m. on Sept. 25th at the Quartz Hill intersection, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Police say a driver in a westbound 2004 Honda Element struck and killed the 18-year-old man who was walking in the same direction. The young man suffered major injuries and died at the scene, according to The AV Times.
Meanwhile, the CHP report did not provide the victim’s identity, pending notification of their family members.
Robert Moreno, 52, of Lancaster, stopped the Honda and cooperated with authorities.
Investigators continue to work on the case to determine fault.
