Deadly Crash, Several Injured at Turlock Intersection
TURLOCK, Calif. (June 28, 2022) — A fatal Turlock crash at North Vincent Road, just north of West Harding Road happened Tuesday morning in Stanislaus County.
Two vehicles collided about 8:25 a.m. on June 28th at the Turlock intersection, just north of Delhi, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Both vehicles caught on fire following the crash and one of them overturned onto its side, police said. An off-duty fireman was at the scene attempting to extinguish the fire, according to the CHP dispatch report.
Paramedics responded and located multiple people with injuries. Some were transported by air ambulance and others by ground ambulances to a local trauma center. Additionally, someone reportedly called the husband of a woman involved in the crash who was with her daughter at the time. The names, ages and identities of the victims has not been released.
Finally, at least one person died at the scene of the crash, but there are no further details. Authorities closed down North Vincent Road between Harding Road and Linwood Road.
Investigators called two tow trucks to remove the vehicles for evidence and they continue to work on the case to determine fault.
