Driver Hospitalized After Collision at Highway 132 and Koster Road Thursday
Tracy, CA (March 19, 2022) – 44-year-old Fernando Duran-Ortiz suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of Highway 132 and Koster Road.
According to an article published online by the Tracy Press, Duran-Ortiz was behind the wheel of a 2006 GMC Yukon heading east on Highway 132. Primary reports indicated the Yukon collided with a 2014 Ford Focus. Authorities believed the cars drove at the same time through the intersection.
Our sources indicated the crash took place Thursday around 3:40 p.m.
When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found Duran-Ortiz and two occupants in the Focus with injuries. Paramedics said Duran-Ortiz suffered minor injuries as a result of the wreck. An ambulance transported Fernando Duran-Ortiz to the hospital for further treatment and evaluation.

Meanwhile, officials reported 71-year-old Michael Maciel died in the collision. The former Tracy Mayor was an occupant in the Focus.
Detectives continue to work at this time to determine the precise cause of the unfortunate event at Highway 132 and Koster Road.
