Fernie Lopez, 29, Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Reichling Lane Saturday
Pico Rivera, CA (April 19, 2021) – 29-year-old Fernie Lopez died following an alleged hit-and-run collision on Reichling Lane on April 17, Saturday.
According to My News LA, Fernie Lopez was seen talking with occupants of a dark-colored Chevrolet Suburban. Then, for an unknown reason, the driver of the Chevrolet allegedly intentionally accelerated and hit Fernie Lopez when he walked away.
Deadly Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident in Pico Rivera, April 17
Officials said the driver fled the scene before police arrived. The hit-and-run suspect reportedly left Fernie Lopez with serious injuries.
Shortly after 6:30 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the 9000 block of Reichling Lane in Pico Rivera. Paramedics performed life-saving measures to the victim but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene.
Additional details on the catastrophic remained undisclosed. Given that, investigators handling the case continue to identify and locate the hit-and-run suspect.
