2 Injured in Fontana Crash Near Highland Avenue and Juniper Avenue

FONTANA, CA (October 25, 2022) – Two were hospitalized after a car crash near Highland Avenue and Juniper Avenue in Fontana.

According to an article published by the Fontana Herald News, the accident took place on Tuesday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 10:15 a.m.

The incident happened when a 2004 Honda Accord was going north on Juniper Avenue, approaching South Highland Avenue, in Fontana. At the same time, a 2022 Kia Optima was traveling east on Highland.

2 Cars Collide

Police said the Honda then made a westbound turn onto Highland. In the process, the car slammed into the Kia in the 16600 block of Highland Avenue.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene, in front of  the Rotolo Chevrolet. They freed the trapped male driver of the Honda from the wreckage.

The rescued individual and the motorist in the Optima ended up hurt as a result of the collision. Medical personnel rushed them to hospitals for treatment of minor to moderate injuries.

The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, the cause of the Fontana crash is still under investigation.

Police forced the area of Highland and Juniper avenues to shut down following the wreck.
