Woman Hit and Killed by Vehicle at Sierra Avenue and Foothill Boulevard
Fontana, CA (August 10, 2022) – A deadly pedestrian accident occurred in the area of Sierra Avenue and Foothill Boulevard on August 7, Sunday.
According to Fontana Herald News, a female party was crossing the intersection around 11:55 p.m. While walking across the roadway, the pedestrian was struck by a passing green 2002 Chevrolet Silverado. Our sources indicated the victim was outside of a crosswalk when the collision happened.
Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Fontana
Emergency crews arrived at the scene shortly after 11:55 p.m. Responding paramedics rendered first aid to the injured pedestrian, then transported her to Kaiser Hospital via AMR. Sadly, the patient succumbed to her injuries and died on August 8 at about 12:21 a.m. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, the driver and passenger in the Chevrolet appeared unharmed after the incident.
Detectives handling the case continue to investigate liability in the deadly accident that happened at Sierra Avenue and Foothill Boulevard in Fontana.
