Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle Near Duncan Canyon Road Thursday
Fontana, CA (December 23, 2021) – A pedestrian died following a traffic accident that occurred on Interstate 15 Thursday, the Victor Valley News Group reported.
Our sources indicated a black Chrysler 300 spun out for an unknown reason on the southbound lanes of the freeway. While traveling uncontrollably, the vehicle struck a pedestrian standing along the freeway. The collision took place near Duncan Canyon Road in Fontana.
Shortly after 3:09 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the crash site. Officials learned that the victim was standing for an unknown reason outside of a white Mercedes Benz stopped along the highway. Responding paramedics attempted to save the pedestrian, but they sadly succumbed to their injuries and died. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
No immediate information was available on the driver involved in the unfortunate event.
