Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Fontana Crash at Baseline and Almeria Avenues
FONTANA, CA (January 2, 2022) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after a crash at Baseline and Almeria avenues in Fontana.
According to an article published by the Fontana Herald News, the accident took place on Sunday morning. Officers reported the collision at about 9:30 a.m.
Fontana police said a vehicle struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason in the city. The driver hit him at the intersection of Baseline and Almeria avenues.
Man Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the man who ended up suffering from a major injury as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment. The report did not disclose the names of the wounded party and his condition at this time.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the man. Officers forced the area of Baseline and Almeria avenues to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Fontana pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
