Bicyclist Injured in Foothill Farms Hit-and-Run at Hillsdale Boulevard and Palm Avenue
SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA (May 2, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash injured a bicyclist at Hillsdale Boulevard and Palm Avenue in Foothill Farms.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Sunday afternoon. Officers reported the incident at about 1:46 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck the bicycle rider for an unknown reason. The driver hit the cyclist at the intersection of Hillsdale Boulevard and Palm Avenue in Foothill Farms.
Driver Hits Bicycle Rider, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene near the North Highlands. They found the victim who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the bicyclist and fled the area. Officers forced the intersection to close following the Foothill Farms hit-and-run crash.
Authorities are still searching for the suspect.
