Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Ford City Crash at Ash and Lincoln Streets
FORD CITY, CA (June 8, 2023) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a crash at Ash and Lincoln Streets in Ford City.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Thursday evening. Officers reported the wreck on June 8 at about 6:07 p.m.
CHP said the motorcycle rider and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason in Ford City. The two crashed at the intersection of Ash and North Lincoln streets.
Motorcycle and Vehicle Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Taft College. They found the motorcyclist who sustained major injuries, including compound fracture, as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to the Kern Medical for treatment of a broken left ankle. The name of the wounded party and their condition at this time were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the other driver ended up hurt or if they stayed at the site following the wreck. Officers forced the area of Ash and Lincoln to shut down after the accident.
The cause of the Ford City crash is still under investigation.
