1 Killed, 1 Injured in Foster City Crash on Highway 92 Near Bridge
FOSTER CITY, CA (December 10, 2022) – A crash killed one person and injured another on Highway 92 near the San Mateo-Hayward Bridge in Foster City.
According to The California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the tragic accident took place late Saturday night. Officers reported the wreck at around 11:45 p.m.
CHP said two cars collided for an unknown reason in Foster City. The vehicles crashed on the eastbound side of Highway 92 near the San Mateo-Hayward Bridge.
2 Cars Collide
The report described the cars as a black Cadillac Escalade and an Infiniti. The Infiniti obtained major rear-end damage due to the impact of the collision.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They confirmed that at least one individual died as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel rushed another patient to the Stanford Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, officers forced the eastbound lanes of Highway 92 to shut down for a time near the bridge following the wreck. The cause of fatal Foster City crash is still under investigation.
