Oakland, CA (January 3, 2022) – Police arrested Frank Somerville in relation with a DUI car crash that occurred in the area of West Grand Avenue and Broadway on December 30.

The East Bay Times News reported Somerville, a Bay Area news anchor, was behind the wheel of a traveling in the streets of downtown Oakland. When the motorist approached the intersection at Grand Avenue and Broadway, Somerville collided with another car from behind.

According to the article published online, Somerville did not pull over and proceeded through the intersection. Officials said the hit-and-run suspect pushed the other car into a pole on the southeast corner of the intersection.

Frank Somerville fled the scene but was eventually located. Officials reportedly transported the driver to an area hospital for treatment before taking the man into custody on DUI charges.
