Vehicle Strikes, Kills Man Walking Bike at Mission San Jose District
Fremont, CA (June 30, 2022) – A 71-year-old man died following a pedestrian accident that occurred Wednesday in the area of Driscoll Road and Carmen Street.
Fatal Pedestrian Accident at Driscoll Road and Carmen Street
The KRON4 News reported an unidentified male party was walking with a bicycle in the bike lane along Driscoll Road. When the man approached the intersection at Carmen Street, a vehicle drifted towards the direction of the bike lane; and struck the 71-year-old man. The collision resulted in fatal injuries to the pedestrian. According to the article published online, the victim sadly died at the scene. Authorities continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, the SUV driver reportedly appeared unharmed after the collision. The motorist stayed in the area and cooperated with the investigation process.
Detectives continue to work at this time to determine the precise cause of the deadly accident at Driscoll Road and Carmen Street.
