Power Outage Leads to Traffic Collision at Tulare Street and Chestnut Avenue
Fresno, CA (November 4, 2022) – Injuries were reported following a car accident that occurred in the area of Tulare Street and Chestnut Avenue.
According to Your Central Valley News, two vehicles collided at the intersection in Fresno Tuesday evening. Earlier reports indicated two SUVs traveling in different directions approached the crossing at about the same time. Officials said both drivers did not make a complete stop before entering the intersection. The SUVs dashed through the crossing and crashed into each other.
Passengers Hospitalized After 2-Car Accident in Fresno
When rescue teams arrived at the site, they found one vehicle disabled in a front yard of a nearby residence. Our sources indicated the occupants in that car all sustained injuries as a result of the collision. Given that, paramedics transported the injured parties to a hospital for treatment and further evaluation. The exact number of people hurt, and their names remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Meanwhile, the occupants in the other SUV showed no signs of injuries.
Investigators mentioned the power outage in the area played a role in the accident. At this time, detectives continue to work to determine liability in the traffic crash that happened at Tulare Street and Chestnut Avenue in Fresno.
