1 Seriously Injured in Fresno Crash at Chestnut Avenue and North Avenue
FRESNO, CA (August 30, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash near Chestnut Avenue and North Avenue in Fresno.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident occurred on Monday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 9:08 p.m.
According to CHP, at least two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Fresno. They crashed near the intersection of South Chestnut Avenue and East North Avenue.
2 Vehicles Collide
The incident log described the cars as a beige Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck and a 4-door sedan. One of the vehicles involved slammed into a tree near the Derrel’s Mini Storage, Inc.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found one person who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to the Community Regional Medical Center for treatment Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Chestnut Avenue and North Avenue to shut down following the wreck. Authorities are still determining the cause of the Fresno crash.
