Several Children Injured in Fresno Crash on Highway 180 Near Chestnut Avenue
FRESNO, CA (November 18, 2021) – Several children were injured after a car crash on Highway 180 near Chestnut Avenue in Fresno.
According to an article published by Your Central Valley, the accident took place on Thursday morning. Officers reported the wreck at around 8:15 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol said multiple vehicles collided for an unknown reason in southeast Fresno. They crashed on the westbound side of Highway 180 near Chestnut Avenue.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found several children who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patients to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The report did not disclose the condition of the wounded victims at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the westbound lanes of Highway 180 to shut down near Chestnut following the wreck. They added that speed and possibly low visibility due to fog played a role in the incident.
The Fresno crash is still under investigation.
