1 Seriously Injured in Fresno Car Crash on Westbound Highway 180
FRESNO, CA (June 11, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash on Highway 180 near Peach Avenue in Fresno.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Friday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 1:21 p.m.
Their report log said three vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Fresno. They crashed on westbound Highway 180, just east of Peach Avenue off-ramp.
Multiple Vehicles Collide Near Peach Avenue
CHP described two cars involved as a green Ford F-150 and a blue Honda. Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and then extricated a trapped occupant from the wreckage.
One person sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel took the patient to the Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP soon forced the westbound lanes of Highway 180 to shut down following the wreck.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the Fresno car crash.
