9 Injured in Fresno County Crash at Clovis and American Avenues
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (April 30, 2023) – Several were injured after a crash at Clovis and American avenues in Fresno County,
According to the FOX 26 News and ABC 30 News, the accident took place late Saturday night. Officers reported the wreck on April 29 at around 10:45 p.m.
The incident happened when a Jeep was going north on Clovis Avenue, approaching American Avenue, in Fresno County. For an unknown reason, the car ran a red light.
Police said in the process, the Jeep slammed into a Porsche at the intersection. A male passenger in the Jeep ended up ejected from the vehicle due to the impact of the collision.
Driver Runs Red Light, Hits Another Car
The man, believed to be 25 years old, sustained life-threatening injuries as a result of the accident. Paramedics rushed him to the Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The driver and two other occupants of the Jeep and the five people riding the Porsche survived with minor injuries. Medical personnel provided aid to the patients at the scene.
The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, police forced the area of Clovis and American avenues to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Fresno County crash is still under investigation.
