1 Seriously Injured in Fresno County Crash Near McCall Avenue and Highway 180
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (June 10, 2021) – A car crash seriously injured one person near McCall Avenue and Highway 180 in Fresno County.
According to an article published by the FOX 46 News, the accident took place on Thursday evening. Officers reported the wreck at around 7 p.m. near Sanger.
The incident began when a Chevy Cruze was stopped at a stoplight in Fresno County. The California Highway Patrol said for an unknown reason, the driver of a truck failed to see the stopped traffic ahead.
Car Collision Near Sanger
In the process, the truck slammed into the rear of the Chevy near McCall Avenue and Highway 180. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
They found the motorist in the Cruze unconscious and suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel rushed the victim to the Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time. CHP did not mention if the operator of the truck ended up hurt following the accident.
Meanwhile, officers forced the eastbound lanes of McCall Avenue and Highway 180 to close for about an hour after the crash. Authorities are still determining the cause of the Fresno County collision.
