Cyclist Killed in Collision Near Highway 99
Fresno, CA (June 24, 2022) – A bicycle rider died following a traffic accident that occurred Thursday in the area of West Shaw and North Hayes Avenue.
According to the Fresno Bee and FOX News, a dark colored SUV was heading west on Shaw. When the SUV approached the intersection at Hayes, the driver not notice the bicyclist and struck them. The horrible crash took place shortly before 9 p.m.

Earlier reports confirmed the cyclist ended up ejected onto the roadway. When emergency crews arrived, they immediately rendered aid to the man. Paramedics performed life-saving measures to the victim but they sadly succumbed to their injuries and died. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
Meanwhile, the driver of the SUV stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation process. Detectives continue to work at this time to determine liability in the deadly accident that happened at West Shaw and North Hayes Avenue.
