4 Hospitalized After Car Accident at Highway 145 and Clinton Avenue Sunday
Fresno, CA (May 23, 2021) – A family of four suffered injuries following a suspected DUI car crash in the area of Highway 145 and Clinton Avenue Sunday evening.
According to Your Central Valley, a Jeep was going about 50-60 mph on the highway. Due to the alleged intoxication of the driver, he lost control of the vehicle and veered off the roadway. The Jeep eventually crashed into the front yard of a house near the Fresno County intersection.
The collision took place at about 7:30 p.m.

When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found one boy ejected from the car. Paramedics immediately rendered aid to the child. An ambulance transferred the boy and another juvenile passenger to the hospital for treatment of major injuries.
Authorities added a helicopter airlifted the 28-year-old mother to Community Regional Medical Center in unknown condition. Lastly, the 34-year-old driver, believed to be the father of the family, sustained only minor injuries in the crash.
Preliminary investigation revealed the man behind the wheel of the Jeep was intoxicated at the time of the collision. Investigators handling the case continue to work to determine several factors surrounding the car crash on Highway 145.
