Woman Injured in Collision Near 168 Freeway Sunday
Fresno, CA (November 15, 2021) – At least one person suffered injuries following a suspected hit-and-run crash that occurred on Ashlan Avenue Sunday.
The KMPH News reported two vehicles collided near the intersection of Ashlan and 168 Freeway. Preliminary investigation revealed the driver of the tan Chevrolet Silverado 2500 ran a red light. Per article published online, the truck T-boned a sedan passing through the crossing.
Hit-and-Run Car Crash on Ashlan Avenue in Fresno, November 14
Following the crash, the drive of the Chevrolet got out of the car and started yelling at the woman driving the sedan. For an unknown reason, the man later took off and fled the scene on foot.
When medical personnel arrived, they immediately rendered aid to the female motorist. The name of the victim, and the extent of their injuries remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
The Fresno Police Department continue to work at this time to identify and locate the hit-and-run driver. Officials briefly described the suspect as a adult male with grey beard. He was last seen wearing a dark hat, jeans, and a flannel with a grey hoodie.
Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
