Officer Hospitalized After Collision at Lansing Way and Van Ness Boulevard Tuesday
Fresno, CA (December 21, 2021) – A motorcycle officer suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of Lansing Way and Van Ness Boulevard.
According to Your Central Valley News, the officer entered the intersection with his emergency lights and sirens activated. Earlier reports indicated the officer was trying to clear out congested traffic in the area. For an unknown reason, a truck drove into the crossing at the same time.
The article published online mentioned the motorcycle officer and the big rig collided on Christmas Tree Lane in Fresno. Officials said the crash took place around 10:40 p.m.
Responding medical personnel rendered aid to the motorcycle officer found with injuries. At this time, the name and condition of the victim remained undisclosed.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole evening to investigate liability in the traffic crash at Lansing Way and Van Ness Boulevard.
