Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Fresno Crash at Clinton and Brawley Avenues
FRESNO, CA (June 16, 2021) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after an accident near Clinton Avenue and Brawley Avenue in Fresno.
According to an article published by the FOX 26 News, the collision took place on Wednesday night. Officers reported the crash at around 9 p.m.
Fresno police said the incident happened when a pedestrian was walking in the middle of the road. For an unknown reason, a vehicle struck the person near the intersection of Clinton and Brawley avenues.
Victim Hit by Vehicle in Fresno
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene. They then found the victim who ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel took the patient to the Community Regional Medical Center for treatment of a broken leg. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver involved stopped after hitting the victim. The motorist stayed at the site and cooperated with the authorities.
Officers forced the area of Clinton and Brawley avenues to close following the pedestrian crash. The cause of the Fresno collision is still under investigation.
