Gabriel Barajas, 27, Killed in Napa Pedestrian Crash on Trancas Street
NAPA, CA (November 9, 2021) – Gabriel Barajas was killed after a pedestrian crash on Trancas Street in Napa.
The Coroner’s Office identified the 27-year-old man as the victim of the fatal collision which took place last week on Friday night.
The incident happened when Gabriel Patlan Barajas was crossing Trancas Street, west of the Silverado Trail, in Napa. At the same time, a 2016 Mercedes-Benz was traveling in the left westbound lane.
The California Highway Patrol said the car then struck him for an unknown reason. The victim ended up thrown onto the north shoulder due to the impact of the collision.
Man Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene. They found Gabriel Barajas lying on the ground as a result of the pedestrian crash.
Medical personnel rushed him to the Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center, where he died. The Napa Valley Register wrote that the accident occurred on November 5 shortly before 10:01 p.m.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the 25-year-old San Francisco man driving the Mercedes pulled over after hitting the man. He stayed at the site and cooperated with the officers.
The cause of the Napa pedestrian collision is still under investigation.
