Passengers Dies in Alleged DUI Collision at Hay and Meridian Road Sunday
Vacaville, CA (January 31, 2022) – Gabriella Loreto, a 55-year-old woman, suffered fatal injuries following a suspected DUI crash that occurred in the area of Hay and Meridian Road.
The Reporter published an article online reporting Loreto was a passenger in a Toyota Tundra traveling at a high-rate of speed on Hay Road. When the Toyota approached the intersection at Meridian, the drier failed to slow down at a stop sign.
Our sources indicated the Toyota drifted off the roadway and collided with an irrigation ditch. Due to the force from the impact, the car became airborne and landed on its passenger side inside a ditch.
Shortly after 7:30 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the location. First responders found one passenger unconscious. Despite life-saving measures, the victim sadly succumbed to her injuries and died. The Solano County Coroner later identified the deceased as Gabriella Loreto.
Preliminary investigation revealed the driver showed signs of intoxication. At this time, detectives continue to gather information surrounding the unfortunate event.
