Major Injury Collision on Highway 99 Friday
Galt, CA (May 21, 2021) – Several people suffered injuries following a traffic accident involving a semi truck on State Route 99 Friday evening, the California Highway Patrol group reported.
Multi-Vehicle Accident in Galt, May 21
Officials said a semi truck collided with ten smaller automobiles on southbound SR-99, also known as Sacramento Highway. First responders found at the scene a white pickup truck, an orange car, and a gray Acura. At this time, the make and model of the other vehicles involved in the wreck have not been discussed thus far.
Shortly after 10:15 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the crash site and attended to all possible victims. The CHP log later confirmed the accident resulted in major injuries. However, the names of the injured parties, and their age remained undisclosed.
Detectives continue to investigate at this time the precise circumstances that led to the truck and car accident in Galt.
