1 Injured in Garden Acres Hit-and-Run Crash at Highway 26 and Cardinal Avenue
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CA (October 12, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash injured at least one person at Highway 26 and Cardinal Avenue in Garden Acres.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Tuesday evening. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 7:30 p.m.
CHP said a black Ford Flex and a white vehicle collided for an unknown reason in Garden Acres. The two crashed at the intersection of Highway 26 and Cardinal Avenue.
2 Cars Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found an occupant of the Ford hurt. The victim sustained back and left shoulder injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided treatment to the patient at the site. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver of the white car did not stop to help and fled the area. They found the suspect vehicle parked near Broadway and Miner avenues.
Officers forced the intersection of Highway 26, known as East Fremont Street, and Cardinal Avenue to shut down following the wreck. The Garden Acres hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
