At Least 1 Hurt in Collision Near Western Avenue Saturday
Gardena, CA (March 12, 2022) – A suspected hit-and-run crash occurred on Interstate 405, also known as San Diego Freeway.
According to the California Highway Patrol group, at least two vehicles collided on I-405 early Saturday morning. Our sources indicated the accident took place in the area near Western Avenue in Gardena.
Emergency crews responded to the crash site shortly after 12:50 a.m. When medical personnel arrived, they immediately rendered aid to all parties found at the scene. The CHP log confirmed the accident resulted in injuries to at least one victim. At this time, the name of the injured party and their condition remained undisclosed pending confirmation.

Preliminary investigation revealed one motorist attempted to escape. No immediate information was available on the hit-and-run suspect.
