1 Hospitalized After Collision Near Mariposa Reina
Gaviota, CA (August 22, 2022) – At least one person suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on Highway 101, the Noozhawk News reported.
2-Truck Crash on Highway 101 in Gaviota
Officials said two semi trucks collided near Mariposa Reina on the Gaviota coast Monday morning. Our sources indicated the two big rigs crashed into each other in the northbound side of Highway 101. The force from the impact resulted in significant damage to the trucks, authorities mentioned.
Shortly after 10:56 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics found at least one truck driver suffering in minor injuries. Given the condition of the patient, medical personnel transported them to Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital for further treatment and evaluation.
Detectives handling the case continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led up to the collision on Highway 101 in Gaviota.
