Child Killed in Goleta Pedestrian Crash on Nectarine Avenue
GOLETA, CA (August 30, 2022) – A pedestrian crash killed a child along Nectarine Avenue in Old Town Goleta.
According to the Noozhawk and KEYT News, the tragic accident took place on Tuesday afternoon. Officers reported the collision shortly after 2:45 p.m.
The incident happened when for an unknown reason a pickup truck hit a child in Goleta. The car struck him in the first block of Nectarine Avenue between Mandarin Drive and Alondra Drive.

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and then found the victim down on the ground. He sustained serious injuries as a result of the accident.
Medical personnel rushed the boy to the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, where he soon died. Meanwhile, deputies did not mention if the driver stopped or stayed at the site after hitting the juvenile.
Officers forced a stretch of Nectarine Avenue to shut down for a time following the collision. The cause of the fatal Goleta child pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
