Fatal Head-On Collision Between Cannon Road and Leisure Town
Fairfield, CA (June 23, 2022) – Gonzalo Torres, a 70-year-old man, died following a traffic accident that occurred on Vanden Road Monday afternoon.
The Reporter published an article online reporting a horrible crash involving a sedan and a car carrier trailer. Preliminary investigation revealed Torres was behind the wheel of a Toyota Camry traveling south on Vanden Road. For reasons still under investigation, the Camry veered into the opposite lanes and ended up colliding head-on into the car carrier trailer.
Per local news source, the catastrophic incident took place in the area between Cannon Road and Leisure Town Road.
Deadly Car Accident on Vanden Road in Fairfield
Responding paramedics found Torres lifeless and unconscious in the mangled car. Despite life-saving measures performed by paramedics, the man sadly passed away at the scene. The Solano County Coroner’s Office confirmed the identity of the deceased as Gonzalo Torres, of Suisun City.
Meanwhile, the driver of the trailer appeared unharmed after the crash. The man stayed at the site and cooperated with the investigation process.
Detectives continue to work to determine the precise cause of the fatal collision on Vanden Road in Fairfield.
