Multi-Vehicle Collision on Highway 49
South County, CA (March 14, 2023) – Three people, including Grace Vogel and Nelson Ramos, suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on State Route Highway 49 Tuesday, March 14.
The KNCO News reported a multi-vehicle collision took place on the highway near Streeter Road. Preliminary investigation revealed 21-year-old Ariana Sandoval, of Cool, was heading north on the highway in South County. Officials said Sandoval made a lane change, then her car spun across the traffic lanes.
According to the article published online, Sandoval crashed into two other vehicles in the southbound side of SR-49 near Streeter Road.
Emergency crews later responded to the accident scene, and rendered aid to all parties involved. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed three drivers sustained injuries as a result of the wreck.
3 Drivers Injured in South County Car Accident
Officials said the two motorists hit in the southbound side of the highway both sustained minor injuries. Authorities identified the victims as 20-year-old Grace Vogel of Penn Valley; and 40-year-old Nelson Ramos of Cedar Ridge. Meanwhile, Ariana Sandoval suffered moderate injuries in the crash.
Preliminary investigation revealed the weather and road conditions contributed to the collision. At this time, detectives continue to work to determine liabilities in the accident that happened on Highway 49 in South County.
