Gregoria Juarez Pachuca, 50, Killed in Taft Crash on Highway 33

TAFT, CA (June 1, 2021) – Gregoria Juarez Pachuca was killed after a suspected DUI crash on Highway 33 in Taft.

The coroner’s office identified the 50-year-old Pasadena woman as the victim of the fatal wreck which occurred on Sunday afternoon.

The incident happened when Gregoria Juarez Pachuca was riding as a passenger in a 2007 Ford Mustang in Taft. The car was going south on Highway 33 at the time.

Police said the Mustang then spun out of control and veered to the right. The vehicle went off the road and ultimately rolled over multiple times, just north of Cadet Road.

Gregoria Juarez Pachuca ended up ejected from their car as a result of the crash. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and pronounced her dead at the scene.

Another passenger escaped serious injury. Kern Golden Empire and Taft Midway Driller wrote that the accident took place on May 30 about 5:15 p.m.

Meanwhile, police determined that the female driver of the Mustang was under the influence of alcohol when they crashed. Authorities soon arrested her for gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.

They also charged her with DUI causing death or bodily injury and driving without a license. The fatal Taft DUI crash is still under investigation.
