Lassen County, CA (September 13, 2021)Gregory Rambo, a 24-year-old man from Burney, suffered injuries following a truck accident hat occurred on Highway 44.

Minor Injury Truck Accident Near Susanville, September 9

The Lassen County Times published an article online indicating Gregory Rambo was driving a 1997 Ford service truck. Officials said the man was heading east on Highway 44, on his way to Susanville.

Preliminary investigation revealed the driver fell asleep. As a result, the company truck travelled across the westbound lanes of the freeway and eventually came to a rest in the wooded forest.

The crash took place on September 9 around 5:53 a.m.

When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found the Ford overturned approximately 60 feet from the roadway. Authorities confirmed Gregory Rambo self-extricated after the incident, and walked to the road to call for help. A passing Cal Fire truck stopped and rendered aid to the injured party. Our sources indicated Gregory Rambo was transported to Banner Lassen Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.

Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
