Guadalupe Jimenez, 45, Killed in East Sacramento Pedestrian Crash
EAST SACRAMENTO, CA (January 15, 2022) – Guadalupe Jimenez was killed after a pedestrian crash on Folsom Boulevard in East Sacramento.
The coroner’s office identified the 45-year-old Elk Grove woman as the victim in the fatal collision which took place on Thursday.
The incident began when Guadalupe Jimenez was crossing the intersection of 60th Street and Folsom Boulevard in East Sacramento. At the same time, two cars collided for an unknown reason in the area.
Woman Hit by Car
In the process, at least one of the vehicles struck her. Sacramento police said the pedestrian ended up pinned underneath the car as a result of the collision.
The Sacramento Bee and KCRA News wrote that the accident occurred on January 13 shortly before 1:30 p.m. Guadalupe Jimenez sustained major injuries following the pedestrian accident.
Paramedics then rushed her to a hospital, where she died. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the two drivers stopped and stayed at the scene after the incident.
The cause of the East Sacramento pedestrian crash is still under investigation. It happened near the Phoebe Hearst Elementary School.
