Pedestrian Killed in Harbor Gateway Crash at Normandie Avenue and 223rd Street
LOS ANGELES, CA (October 20, 2022) – A crash at Normandie Avenue and 223rd Street killed a pedestrian in Harbor Gateway.
According an article published by the KTLA News, the tragic accident took place on Wednesday evening. Officers reported the collision at around 7:11 p.m.
The incident happened on October 19 when a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in the Harbor Gateway neighborhood of Los Angeles.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Police said the driver hit the person at the intersection of Normandie Avenue and 223rd Street. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found the victim down on the ground.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the patient dead at the scene. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police did not mention if the motorist stopped or stayed at the site following the accident. The cause of the fatal Harbor Gateway pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the area of Normandie Avenue and 223rd Street to shut down for a time after the collision.
