Man Killed in Harbor Gateway Hit-and-Run Near Normandie and John
LOS ANGELES, CA (December 5, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash killed a pedestrian near Normandie Avenue and John Street in Harbor Gateway.
According to an article published by the ABC 7 News, the tragic accident took place late Saturday night. Officers reported the collision at around 11 p.m.
The incident happened on December 4 when a vehicle struck a male pedestrian in the Harbor Gateway neighborhood of Los Angeles.
Police said the driver hit him near the intersection of Normandie Avenue and John Street. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and then found the man in his 40s left lying on the ground.

He ended up suffering from serious injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel soon pronounced the victim dead.
The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist did not stop to help the victim and fled south on Normandie.
They described the suspect as a man in his 20s or 30s driving a black SUV. Officers forced the area of Normandie and John to shut down following the collision.
The cause of the fatal Harbor Gateway hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
