1 Killed in Collision at Winton Avenue and Clawiter Road
Hayward, CA (February 20, 2023) – One person died following a suspected DUI crash that occurred in the area of West Winton Avenue and Clawiter Road, the KRON4 News reported.
Officials said two vehicles collided at the intersection Sunday, February 19. The make and model of the cars involved in the catastrophic incident have not been revealed thus far.
Deadly Car Accident in Hayward
Emergency crews arrived at the scene shortly after 7:30 p.m. According to the article published online, responding paramedics immediately attended to the two drivers found at the crash site. Medical personnel performed life-saving measures to a 50-year-old male but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away.
Meanwhile, the second driver, a 22-year-old man, sustained unspecified injuries in the collision. Authorities believed the second driver was intoxicated when the accident happened.
The names of the fatal victim, and the DUI suspect remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
At this time, the Hayward Police Department continue to investigate several unclear factors surrounding the deadly crash that happened at Winton Avenue and Clawiter Road in Hayward.
