Pedestrian Hector Reyes, 28, Killed in Lancaster Crash on Avenue I
LANCASTER, CA (November 29, 2022) – Hector Reyes was killed after a pedestrian crash on Avenue I in Lancaster.
The coroner’s office identified the 28-year-old Colton man as the victim of the fatal collision which took place on Sunday.
The incident happened when a 1994 Ford Econoline 350 struck Hector Reyes for an unknown reason in Lancaster. The van was going east on Avenue I when it hit the pedestrian.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident occurred during the hours of darkness, east of 80th Street East. There are no streetlights in the area.

The Antelope Valley Times and My News LA wrote that the crash took place on November 27 at around 5:45 a.m. Hector Reyes sustained serious injuries as a result of the pedestrian accident.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The driver of the Ford, 48-year-old Jose Venegas, and his passenger ended up unharmed following the incident.
Officers forced a stretch of Avenue I to shut down for a time after the collision. The cause of the Lancaster pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
