Several Injured in Hemet Crash at Warren Road and Florida Avenue
HEMET, CA (April 16, 2022) – Several were injured after a car crash at Warren Road and Florida Avenue in Hemet.
The Riverside County News Source wrote that the accident took place on Wednesday night, April 13. Police reported the wreck at around 9:15 p.m.
The incident began when a black Audi was traveling at a high rate of speed west on Florida Avenue toward Warren Road in Hemet. At the same time, a black Chevrolet Traverse was going north on Warren.
Officers said the Audi continued through the stale red traffic signal at the intersection. In the process, the speeding car slammed into the Chevrolet.
Speeding Driver Hits Another Car
The man driving the Audi ended up ejected from his vehicle as a result of the collision. He survived with numerous life-threatening injuries upon impact.
An air ambulance took the man to the Riverside University Health System’s Trauma Center in Moreno Valley. Ground ambulances took other patients to the same hospital with unknown injuries.
Medical personnel at the site treated the driver of the Traverse for the superficial injuries they sustained in the incident.
The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, police forced the area of Warren and Florida to shut down following the wreck.
