Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Hemet Crash at Highway 74 and 4th Street
HEMET, CA (May 5, 2023) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after a crash at Highway 74 and 4th Street in Hemet.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place on Friday night. According to their dispatch, officers reported the collision at about 9:28 p.m.
The incident happened on May 5 when a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Hemet. The driver hit the person at the intersection of Highway 74, known as Florida Avenue, and 4th Street.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the victim down on the ground. The patient ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the accident.
Medical personnel then rushed the victim to the Riverside University Health System Medical Center for treatment. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not confirm if the motorist stopped and stayed at the site following the collision. Officers forced the area of Highway 74 and 4th Street to shut down after the incident.
The cause of the Hemet pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
